Hi Angelina -- I just got home from my book group and wanted to write you while it was still fresh in my memory. Susan picked up your poppyseed torte at the Farmers' Market and brought it to share with the book group...... it was an absolute conversation-stopper. We had to stop talking and moan with delight as we ate it. Wonderful! Thanks! Elizabeth
Hi, Angelina! This is Jenny. I wanted to tell you that the apple tart was AMAZING. I would say that it is one of the best things that I have eaten, ever! I have been stuck at home sick tonight, and it made a yucky evening much more tolerable. I have a cold, but if you are going to have some vegan items on Saturday, I'll come by. I'm still interested in the chocolate cake, the savory tarts, and I'd love to try the rustic tart with plums. But, if you won't have time, I can definitely place on order for next Thursday. Let me know what your plans are! Thanks!
Just tried the chocolate cake and had to let you know that, hands-down, the best chocolate cake that I know of. You definitely have a gift!
Wow!! The chocolate coconut cake and assorted fruit tarts were quite a hit for my friend's 85th. birthday dinner. I gave a little marketing speech before serving them and distributed Moonflower business cards to everyone - guests from Virginia and West Virginia. I'm thrilled I've found you!! Hugs, Judy
I have to say that it is hard to pick one thing that I like from Moonflower bakery. I went to the farmers market on the 24th and bought several items. I got home and ate them all! My poor husband didn't have a chance to try any of it. I was most impressed with the Apricot Almond Tart. I think I will be visiting again soon for that one especially, even though I have to drive an hour for it. It is so worth it! I have been raving about all the goodies since. Angelina, you definitely have the special touch for mouth watering treats. I am sending my friends and family your way! ~ Niecy Grutter ~
My very favorites are the cranberry scones and carrot cake. Jim loves any of the fruit tarts. Pineapple was last weeks tart choice for him and I tried the Mississippi Mud bars which were out of this world. ~ the Gearys ~
I don't know if you take preorders or not for Saturday, but I would really like a Fresh Strawberry Pie - a favorite of my sister's, and it's her birthday. I plan on being at the market before 7:30. After trying several delicious individual treats (my husband's favorite is the carrot cake) these past few weeks, we bought the breakfast tart -bacon, cheese and spinach. It was wonderful! I can't wait to try more of your super-delicious tarts! ~ Judy Phillippi ~
My day is made more fabulous just with thoughts of your wonderful Brown Sugar Pound Cake. I bought your last cake yesterday, you gave me a discount - and a plate to return, which I will. And I told you I was going to freeze it and take it with me on a future visit to grandchildren in the Richmond area. Well, I lied. My husband and I cut into it, and you are right; it is "ohmygawdgood". I must say it was extremely dense, which we like, but it did have a look of uncookedness to it, much like an area of apple or such, but it did not affect the taste or texture for us. It was wonderful to taste, especially if you put a little dab of the frosting (divine frosting!) on every bite. Sooooo, the cake will go to Richmond IF there is any left. It is, indeed, a fabulous and wonderful cake! ~ Pam Hennessey ~
I am a regular and most happy patron of Moonflower. All goods are delicious, but I am particularly fond of the Meringue Tarts: Cranberry, Lemon and Chocolate. I urge you to sample these wares, you will not be disappointed. ~ Sincerely, Jim Tibbetts ~
